Getting there
From Zürich HB:
Take tram 6 from Bahnhofstrasse/HB towards Zoo, or tram 10 from Bahnhofplatz/HB towards Flughafen or Bahnhof Oerlikon, to ETH/Universitätsspital. The journey takes approximately 6 minutes.
Alternative route from Zürich HB:
Take tram 3 to Central, then the Polybahn to Polyterrasse. The journey takes approximately 8 minutes.
From Zürich Airport:
Take tram 10 directly to ETH/Universitätsspital, or take a train to Zürich HB and continue by tram.
Tickets and local travel
Attendees travelling within central Zürich will need a valid public transport ticket covering the appropriate zones.
Please check local public transport information before travelling and allow additional time during peak periods.
Barrier-free access
Barrier-free access to the ETH Zürich Main Building is signposted on campus.
Wheelchair users arriving by car can use marked parking spaces in the Leonhardstrasse subway under the Polyterrasse, or marked spaces on parking level D of the multi-storey car park, accessed via Karl-Schmid-Strasse.
Useful travel note
ETH Zürich is close to the city centre, with frequent public transport connections from Zürich HB and Zürich Airport.
We recommend planning your route in advance, particularly if arriving during the morning rush hour or travelling with luggage.

Medicine and Health in Medieval Zurich

Discover Zurich's medical history on a guided walk exploring healthcare in the Middle Ages and early modern period, including the stories of physician Conrad Gessner and city surgeon Jakob Ruf, whose work helped shape obstetrics and midwifery training.
Led in English by Hildegard E. Keller, a researcher, novelist and storyteller with extensive knowledge of Zurich's medical past.
The tour will be followed by drinks. Meeting details will be shared with participants nearer the time.
