Huazhong University of Science & Technology

Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) is a comprehensive research university located in Wuhan, China under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education. HUST has consistently ranked among the top 10 universities in China in the major domestic and international rankings, including the Shanghai Ranking’s Academic Ranking of World Universities and US News and World Report Best Global Universities Ranking.
Situated in the city of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, HUST lies near the central banks of the Yangtze River. With a population of over eleven million, Wuhan is the foremost cultural, educational, transportation and economic city in Central China, playing a leading role in the Yangtze River Economic Zone and now emerging as a global megacity with enormous business opportunities.
HUST is comprised of its main campus close by picturesque East Lake and a satellite medical campus located in the central business district of Hankou across the Yangtze River. Today the university has more than 3,400 full-time teachers, including over 1,200 professors, serving approximately 55,000 full-time students. Complementing this rich academic environment is HUST’s remarkable greenscape – covering 72% of the campus, its rich canopy of trees explains why many people now refer to it as the “university in the forest.”
HUST boasts a full range of academic disciplines, comprising 10 major categories that range from engineering and medicine --HUST’s two most notable pillars of strength – to its fast-growing science and distinctive liberal arts disciplines. Guided by its sense of mission to contribute to social progress and the greater global community, the university continues to explore the frontiers of science, and is the only university in China that includes four national research facilities. International cooperation also lies at the core of HUST development strategy.

Nature Journal Logo Nature Biomedical Engineering

Nature Biomedical Engineering is an online-only monthly journal publishing original research, reviews and commentary of high significance to the biomedical engineering community, including bench scientists interested in devising materials, methods, technologies or therapies to understand or combat disease, engineers designing or optimizing medical devices and procedures, and clinicians leveraging research outputs in biomedical engineering to assess patient health or deliver therapy across a variety of clinical settings and healthcare contexts.

Nature Journal Logo Nature Chemical Biology

Nature Chemical Biology is an international monthly journal that provides a high-visibility forum for the publication of top-tier original research and commentary for the chemical biology community. Chemical biology combines the scientific ideas and approaches of chemistry, biology and allied disciplines to understand and manipulate biological systems with molecular precision. The journal publishes papers from the expanding community of chemical biologists, including contributions from chemists who are applying the principles and tools of chemistry to biological questions and from biologists who are interested in understanding and controlling biological processes at the molecular level.

Nature Chemistry

Nature Chemistry is a monthly journal dedicated to publishing high-quality papers that describe the most significant and cutting-edge research in all areas of chemistry. As well as reflecting the traditional core subjects of analytical, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry, the journal also features a broad range of chemical research including, but not limited to, catalysis, computational and theoretical chemistry, environmental chemistry, green chemistry, medicinal chemistry, nuclear chemistry, polymer chemistry, supramolecular chemistry and surface chemistry. Other cross-disciplinary topics such as bioinorganic, bioorganic, organometallic and physical–organic chemistry will also be featured. The submission of manuscripts detailing multidisciplinary research performed at the interface of chemistry and other scientific fields of inquiry such as biology, materials science, nanotechnology and physics is also encouraged, where the central theme of the work — and the major advances that are reported — fall within the bounds of chemistry.
In addition to primary research, Nature Chemistry also publishes review articles, news and views, research highlights about important work reported in other journals, commentaries, book reviews, correspondence, and analysis of the broader chemical picture beyond the laboratory — including issues such as education, funding, policy, intellectual property, and the impact chemistry has on society. In this way, the journal aims to be the voice of the worldwide chemical community.
Nature Chemistry is committed to publishing top-tier original research in all areas of chemistry through a fair and rigorous review process. It offers authors high visibility for their papers, access to a broad readership, high standards of copy editing and production, rapid publication and independence from academic societies and others with vested interests.

Nature Materials Logo Nature Communications

Nature Communications is an open access journal that publishes high-quality research from all areas of the natural sciences. Papers published by the journal represent important advances of significance to specialists within each field.

Nature Nanotechnology Logo Nature Reviews Bioengineering

Nature Reviews Bioengineering is an online-only journal publishing authoritative, accessible and agenda-setting Reviews, Perspectives and Comments covering the full breadth of bioengineering, focusing on application, translation and technology, that is, leveraging biological knowledge to engineer solutions for real-world applications.

Nature Nanotechnology Logo Nature Structural and Molecular Biology

Nature Structural and Molecular Biology is an integrated forum for structural and molecular studies. The journal places a strong emphasis on functional and mechanistic understanding of how molecular components in a biological process work together. Structural data may provide such insights, but they are not a pre-requisite for publication in the journal.
