VISA Requirements

Citizens of many countries do not require a visa to enter South Korea (short term, less than 90 days).  To find out if you require a visa, please visit the Korea Visa Portal.

Please contact the Conference Secretariat to request a visa invitation letter.

Travel

We recommend that you fly into South Korea using the Daegu International Airport.

  • Located in Daegu, it is about 40-60 minutes by car from DGIST
  • If you're flying from a country without direct flights to Daegu, you might consider landing at Incheon International Airport (ICN)near Seoul and then taking a domestic flight or high-speed train (KTX) to Daegu.
  • Daegu has two main train stations: East Daegu Station and West Daegu Station. We recommend East Daegu Station as it offers more train options than the West.
  • Alternatively, participants can take a bus from Incheon Airport to the East Daegu Terminal. You can find more information about the bus routes here.

Hotel Recommendations:

Inter-Burgo Exco Hotel: Located about a 15-minute car ride from Dongdaegu Station and Dongdaegu Express Bus Terminal, and about 10 minutes from Daegu Airport by car.

Daegu Marriott Hotel: Located about a 10-minute walk from Exit 2 of Dongdaegu Subway Station, and within about 5 minutes on foot from Dongdaegu Station (KTX) and the complex transfer center with express and intercity bus terminals.
