Event details
This short conference will explore the biology and clinical potential of Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) on the 40th anniversary of the Nobel Prize awarded to its discoverers R. Levi-Montalcini and S. Cohen. NGF regulates growth and survival of neurons. Beyond its initial application for corneal diseases, research shows its involvement in other ophthalmological, psychiatric and neurodegenerative conditions, and in pain signaling. A better understanding of its regulatory role is key to unlocking new therapies.
This half-day conference is a satellite event of Neuroscience 2026 organised by Nature Neuroscience and Eye, and sponsored by Dompé Pharmaceuticals.
