Event details
Organoids mimic the structural and biological complexity of an organ and recapitulate some of its key functions. In the last few years, this technology has made huge strides and researchers have developed sophisticated organoid models for exploring physiological mechanisms such as neurogenesis that have typically been difficult to study and also pathophysiologies such as tumorigenesis, infection and genetic disorders.
Future developments will see improvement in the reproducibility and fidelity of these models as methods improve to incorporate vascular and immune compartments within the system. In this Technology Live event, we feature a broad range of speakers who will discuss the diverse applications of organoids, the current bottlenecks and the future of this technology in biomedical research.
